Becoming Like the Children I Watch

It dawned on me the other day when I grabbed the bottom of my t-shirt and wiped my nose on the reverse side that the longer I’m a stay-at-home parent the more I’m starting to become like my children. With this new realization, I really don’t know how I’ll ever fit back in to the workforce again when the time comes to return.

I hide in the closet to eat things I know I shouldn’t.

I announce when I have to go potty.

I call it “potty” even when surrounded by adults.

I need to be reminded to brush my teeth.
